A Year In The World

Yvon and I will be teaching and living in South Korea for a year.

Instead of going away this weekend, we decided to stay home and enjoy the great weather. We got up just after noon....as per usual...and spent the afternoon lying on the beach and playing in the seemingly huge waves. I think I may have made a beach bum out of Yvon. It was so much fun just watching him laughing as the waves took him out. I have been picking sand out of my hair ever since!! We then stumbled on old bumper cars and took a turn with some of the little kids. The boardwalk is full of things that we keep discovering. Hopefully tomorrow will be as nice as today was!

Later!

y-von, i think you're a little large for that car...you really should think about investing in a larger one, perhaps a VW bus? your year is sounding amazing! miss you guys. i'm going to a mini-camp in madrid at the end of october where they will be talking about their summer travels, simlar to travel tales except a weekend long. i guess i'll be talking about your village cause that was my cisv adventure this summer! much love.

vonvon and mandamanda...
what a super way to keep us posted on every little magical thing that's been happening to you guys over there... canada's loss (at least for a year) is korea's gain... for sure busan will never have such great spirited personalities, not to mention funny, lovable, quirky, spontaneous (yes, even you, grandpa...) like you too... and it really is nice to see how you two are growing together, taking care of each other -- in this journey -- such an inspiration to the rest of us. hope to see you real soon...
love from the same side of the world,
nancypancy
